THE TOMBSTONE MOTHERS,
I am going to feature here about how or what Tombstone mothers is all about, well TOMBSTONE is a name of a place here at Virac Itogon Benguet that's why i titled it Tombstone Mothers because i will share this beautiful friendship of people here especially the mothers, the young mothers.
The Tombstone mothers started as dancers in that place year 2009, that year when the Women's Federation of Virac conducted a dance contest for every sitio, other young mothers it was their first time to dance so they really did their best to practice because they like to win the contest. In everyday of their practice they got better and better for 5 or 6 months they are ready to show their talents but the thing is can they dance gracefully? This young mothers have babies and others 3 and above years old kids and its hard for them to have practice everyday, well actually they do it at home as their practice in the morning and night. Before the day of the contest came they agreed to buy their own costumes because their very first dance was ballroom. You see how peoples excitement do? They turn to be creative and want to be presentable as it was a contest. The day came they are all nervous but each and every of them give support to one another to calm their jumping hearts down. They made it and they won even some make mistakes you know why? because they are only the once prepared for that contest. I found out that "sometimes being nervous when you know you can do it, it will make you better than what you think you can do.
Until now they are dancing as representatives and they are mostly invited to have a show in programs and other events because they continued to do what they started to love which in the beginning they don't know if they can do it with many responsibilities as they did it not only for them but also for the place they live in, for their barangay and sometimes also for their municipality. This mothers are just common persons who just want to make others happy for their show even if it is not a contest they still want to be a part of it to continue as long as there are those who want them to watch them dance or just for some intermission in a program.
They like to follow what they like and not because others say so that is why they are still active up to this days even if some of them just gave birth because some of them give birth and others the other year that is why they are amazing, even if others gossip about them they still try their best and do what they love this means they also have time for their selves to enjoy even if it is only for a short while..
